RIDE SUMMARY

Stewarts Point/Skaggs Springs Road is a road you will love, or hate.

Starting from Lake Sonoma, the first 13 miles into the ride is a bikers dream.  Smooth turns, nice road surface, and picture perfect scenery every step of the way. Just as a rider can start to feel they are in for the smoothest ride of their life, they cross the bridge and the road becomes a bit more rough. It is well worth it given the beautiful areas that you will pass through on this ride.

In a very short time the well paved and neatly marked road morphs itself into an unmarked, uneven, single lane country road.  The turns get tighter and obstacles such as rocks, leaves, and other debris seem to show themselves around every blind corner.

Stewarts Point/Skaggs Spring Road is definitely for the experienced rider. One particular area is near Bungee Bridge, the CHP is out there weekly to help fallen motorcycle riders that have misjudged the road and conditions.

So please be careful when you are out on this road !
