This road is a shortcut from CA-29 in Oakville to Dry Creek / Trinity Road through to the mountains over to Sonoma County. Oakville Grade Road starts off flat and moves steadily into a much steeper climb up into the mountains.

Turns are moderate while still on Oakville Grade but after you reach the pinnacle and connect to Trinity Road be very careful because there are several hairpin turns and there are several others that are not marked and can catch you by surprise.
